Method 4: Performing an SFC Scan, In some cases, corrupted system files are causing the Ctrl+Alt+Del issue. The Del key above my arrow keys does not work for me. Check if the Ctrl+Alt+Del sequence is now working. Opening sticky keys (Shift 5X) then using Alt+Tab Allows you to switch between sticky keys and the login field. Open the Run utility by press the Windows + R keys. A broken keyboard is the most like cause of this issue. Press Win + R shortcut keys together on your keyboard. What happens if Ctrl Alt Delete doesnt work The Ctrl + Alt + Del not working issue may occur when your system files are corrupted. Alternatively, you can do the the same using the control userpasswords2 command. it has to be some setting or configuration that is preventing this particuliar key combination from working. Set it to 1 to disable it and restore defaults. Ctrl + Alt + Del combination does not work, but each of those keys individually or with another key combination work fine, so it cannot be the keyboard. Set it to 0 to enable secure logon prompt with Ctrl+Alt+Delete. (Logitech support missed this one) It's only the Del key that isn't working on the lock screen. Create or modify the DisableCAD DWORD parameter. Our Ctrl+Alt+del on lock screen is set by Group Policy, so turning it off is not an option for me. I know this of little help for those with the mini version, but hopefully this will help someone as a reasonable workaround until Logitech can fix. ![]() The Del button on the 10-key DOES work for me.
